In case the train would derail, I set it back on track and continue the lap until all 10 are finished. On each branch I would take the built in train and do 10 full speed laps around the map with it and count how many times it would derail while trying to determine what the cause may be.

This time I was sure that something was at play here, so I decided to do a test.īasically, I would launch the map first with the beta disabled, then try to see if any changes occur while playing it on the chromium and x86-64 branches. I assumed that whatever caused that bug got fixed in the recent patch at that time.īut then recently while playing mobenix on the x86-64 branch it started happening again. Eventually I forgot about it and switched off the beta, with everything returning to normal.

I thought it might have been a problem with the game itself and not the beta. The train seemed to be a lot more prone to derailing constantly, mainly on the turns. I've noticed that first on the gm_mobenix_v3 map while doing whatever and driving around with built in train while playing on the old chromium branch before the newer x86-64 one was added. While playing on and off the beta branches of the game I've noticed that GMod's physics seem to be a lot more unstable in certain situations.
